Is there a website or a list that showcases ‘dumb’ electronics that don’t need Wi-Fi to operate? It appears that there aren’t many new dumb TVs on the market, so having such a resource would be really beneficial.

Okay find me one with Dolby Vision
Fair. Edited my comment.
(But to be even more fair, in my experience Lemmy users tend to not give a single flying fuck about Dolby Vision/HDR. 'Cause almost every time I bring up the fact that poor HDR support is the reason why I haven’t fully switched to Linux yet, I get downvotes and people saying things like “wHaT dO yOu NeEd HDR fOr, BrUh? s.RGB Is GoOd EnOuGh!”)
I value it more on cinematic, designed and directed experiences like my movies on 4K Blu-ray than in anything I do on my PC so I guess I never really missed it on Linux. In my limited experience with Windows HDR it can be wonky too
It’s great for gaming and YouTube videos, especially gaming. That’s the main reason why I still use Windows 11 for games. (Well that, and the poor driver support from nVidia.) HDR in every game, even in those without HDR support. No other OS has this capability.
for posterity; you were at least correct in that assumption with me lol. My dream TV at a bare minimum would be 120hz, oled || many local dimming zones, supports cec, low latency.
HDR, motion smoothing, upscaling, etc… I don’t really care about any of that. My shield from 2017 still does a better job at upscaling local content than my brand new LG tv does.
