Let’s talk about the Beit Lahia protests. Western media’s attempt to label them “anti-Hamas” is deeply misleading - and here’s why:
The majority of placards and chants are demanding an end to the genocide. Palestinians are pleading for basic rights, food, water, and the right to live.
Yes, some anti-Hamas chants are heard, but there’s no evidence to suggest these protests are solely “anti-Hamas.” By generalizing them, Western media shifts blame from Israel’s destruction of Gaza, its massacres, and its blockade that’s starving and suffocating the population.
This narrative also fuels Netanyahu’s claim that “the plan is working,” emboldening Israel to justify the illegal occupation and ethnic cleansing of Gaza they openly advocate.
You wish what was true? I think you’ve lost track and are just doing that thing ML does where they ramble on and on as a way to shut the conversation down.
I’m not going to say that the US government is good, or better, than another government. I’m not going to excuse them for anything.
The reason no one takes most ML seriously is because of hypocrisy they spew. The constant belittlement of “western” society meanwhile blindly ignoring similar atrocities in the east.
Perhaps you’re different?
Do you agree that greed, tyranny and authoritarian rule should be exposed and opposed regardless of where it is from? That there is no excuse whatsoever for a government to impose such power on its citizens? Whether that country is the US or Russia, or North Korea, or China?
