In my perfect future there’s such great bike infrastructure and public transportation that this is something you can do if you’re bored on a weekend because nobody needs the roads.
They don’t have to. Bikes need their own space, bus can have their own lanes which increases overall efficiency, and train lines obviously need their own space.
