I’d like to replace sublime text, maybe go back to emacs or give neovim a try. I’ll probably get rid of eclipse once I can replace the ee containers with self contained apps, I used vs code for a bit with java and it was fine but the ee server container integration wasn’t great, this was a couple years ago I last tried though.
You could become convinced your perception of it is an illusion and not reality as it actually is, then you would have no choice not to believe it.
whotookkarl@lemmy.worldto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What's a piece of esoteric knowledge you have?20·2 months agoThe most efficient base for a number system is e.
We use base 10 with 0-9 digits and each position is a ten’s place, and the efficiency being measured is the product of the number of digits and the length of digits needed to represent a number in a given range of values. So if we used base 2 binary instead of base 10 decimal we only need to remember 2 digits 0-1, but to represent most numbers we’ll need more digits, 11 in base 10 is 1011 in base 2. On the other side we could use hexadecimal to write shorter numbers like 11 is B, but need to use more digits, 0-F digits where A-F are the 10-15 digits.
If you try to plot a function that minimizes the efficiency the minimum is at e. So you’d have digits 0-2 and e would be written as 10 since each position is an e’s place.

Paul says a lot of things that contradict Jesus, just like the gospels contradict a lot of things in the old testament.
All of the Judaism spinoff books change the original theology to match their new conceptions of what a god is or should be.
None of them go into enough detail about how the foreskin blood magic works though to really be enticing.

It demonstrates the burden of proof is on the person making claims, including if the claim is unfalsifiable.

It’s a sample size of one. By definition that’s argument from anecdote, there’s no way you can infer generalities from that without being hasty.

I put on my robe and wizard hat, that dancing baby gif, all your base, etc
There was also some push back on posting images with text embedded because it makes the text unsearchable/not compatible with screen readers at the time/forced font and color that can make it harder to read, but then the image macro sites took off that made it simple for anyone to create from a template and there was no turning back
