Hello there!
I’m also @savvywolf@furry.engineer , and I have a website at https://www.savagewolf.org .

There’s a package called molly-guard
which will check to see if you are connected via ssh when you try to shut it down. If you are, it will ask you for the hostname of the system to make sure you’re shutting down the right one.
Very usefull program to just throw onto servers.
I’ve been using Sidebery. Decent little addon for a tab sidebar.
Ages ago in the Vista era, all our Windows computers had an issue where our internet would say “limited or no connectivity” and just stop working. That happened on my desktop and I decided “to hell with it” and switched to Linux (Ubuntu, specifically).
One thing I’ve noticed with Rust is that if you find yourself fighting with the borrow checker, that’s a sign that your codebase isn’t well structured.
So I’m curious; what problem have you been trying to solve where the borrow checker has been this much of an obstacle? There might be a cleaner design for it.
What elo is this targeting? Some of these are probably going to be less useful at lower skill levels.
Ah, right. My bad. For some reason my head was stuck on those solar roadway thingies.
Whitespace isn’t semantically important. Ticket closed.
Solar panels are very fragile; the weight of a car driving over them every day would cause them to break really quickly, not too mention the layer of rubber and dirt that will accumulate on them. I imagine the cost of installing and replacing them is also much higher than laying down a regular road surfice.
If they wanted to invest heavily in solar panels, why wouldn’t they just either put them on top of the shop building itself, or build a lightweight roof over the parking lot and put them on that?
So I can definitely imagine amicable breakups where there is still sexual contact (e.g. you don’t get along living together, but you’re both fine being fwb).
But if the first time you’re thinking about it is when you’re drunk, that’s not be a good sign. Sleep on it, then tomorrow think about what you want the “relationship” to look like going forward. If they’re likely to feel the same way (as a person that lives inside your computer, I don’t know them), you can ask them with a clear head (and not in a flirty way). Just respect their answer and don’t be a creep if they say no.
Okay, this nerd sniped me super hard. Sure you can spend it on a big massive project like a mansion or whatever, but you aren’t going to be able to have it finished (and thus paid for) in a month.
Not too mention if you do want to drop that much money at one, there’ll be many checks in place. Your bank will block your account for “suspicious activity”. The person who you are paying will probably want to run a background check or just refuse to take payment up front.
You’d have to justify where you got that money from as well, most likely, and saying a “genie” probably would get you some strange looks and perhaps arrested.
I legit don’t know how you’d actually get rid of that much money in a month.
Whelp, it was fun while it lasted. Pack it up, people.
Debian sid is their unstable branch; it contains all new packages before they are tested. As such, if you try to install updates from it, you’ll likely get a very unstable system.
You can set it up so that you only get a specific package ( https://wiki.debian.org/DebianUnstable#Can_I_use_Sid_packages_on_.22testing.22.3F ), but honestly, if you need the very latest version, I’d recommend just grabbing it from github or wherever. Iirc, yt-dlp has a -U
flag which will automatically update it.
I think the time to do that has already passed; the Steam Deck and even Linux gaming in general has really taken off, so it would impact far more people than before. In addition, I think the EU has started breathing down their neck and will pounce on them if they do anything so blatantly monopolistic.
So this hypothetical “Direct X 15” would be limited to only Windows 11 users outside of europe, and the games wouldn’t be distributable through Steam. I can’t see that being a good pitch to developers, even if DirectX15 was really good.
They also tried this waay back in Windows 8 with the Windows Store, and it honestly was a flop.
I’m not sure, but I think it makes it very unlikely he’ll become president.
Hope that important infrastructure like payment methods and social media end up heading to Europe. Maybe, if I can, let a particular friend from the States seek asylum and live with me.
Not related to your question exactly, but if you want certain “special” folders (Downloads, Music etc.) to be in specific places, it might be worth setting up xdg data dirs to the appropriate location.
A full set of red pieces are placed on the board on random squares.
All previously played moves get played again.
I think Windows has a very poor track record for ui consistency as well. It feels like every Windows app wants to roll its own UI; Firefox, Discord, Steam etc. I know Discord and Steam also have those issues on Linux as well, but it feels like every Windows app wants to roll out it’s own window decorarions and theme.
Honestly, I’m pleased at how consistent most gtk based apps look.
