You could disconnect it in such a way that the car would just think you didn’t have reception. A lot of people would get stranded on road trips if they didn’t let you drive without internet.

So, if someone were to completely disconnect their Tesla from the internet, they could keep autopilot for free?

Yeah… Been thinking about this for a while, I think we’re on the same page. Just started getting into self hosting, so far I have a NAS running Jellyfin. I bought a used Tesla model 3 just before Elon started donating to the GOP and I’m going to disconnect the WiFi and 5G antennas this weekend. Already running grapheneOS. Sadly there is Windows-only software I need occasionally for work but I’m going to go full-linux on all but one of my devices.

That’s fair. I go to protests but they don’t have as much impact as we need and plenty of people aren’t even really paying attention to what’s going on. I’m making some preparations for if/when shit really hits the fan, I wish I knew other people who are as well.

None of them are perfect but you should always have at least 1 backup. I have several finger-prick monitors from my pre-CGM days and I fortunately can still feel when my sugar is low and can kinda feel it when it’s high.

Don’t assume your CGM will always work perfectly. ALWAYS have a backup finger-prick glucometer. Source: I have a Dexcom G6 and used to use a Freestyle Libre.

I went to Target to buy Christmas cards and they were out of the beer and seltzer I usually get. I’d been boycotting Target, I usually get my cards at my local ACE hardware but somebody drove their truck into it a few days ago and did a lot of damage. ACE has great cards.
