Fwiw, I don’t think it’s about social conformity in the usual sense. It’s about social conformity in the sense that the man’s Christmas/easter greetings wish for his opponents to rot in hell. Do you not see the similarities in how you argue for your “one true cause” justifying being a single issue voter?
