  • I mean the hype has died down but I think it’s rather that VR is too expensive right now. I want VR but I don’t want it $500 much to get a novelty item.

I think using it as a big ass screen would be nice and I really want to Serious Sam and Subnautica on VR. The immersion is really good for VR and I’ve liked it a lot every time I’ve played it.

Still, you need a decent space in the living room. A good graphics card for the frame rate and the expensive headset and motion trackers to get the full experience. That’s a lot to ask for with the current economy.

Not a tanky or China apologist but it’s actually doing fine (not great but very well might be soon).

Here’s the information you’re looking for. China is doing a lot of things right and is ahead of schedule. They’re making good progress on electrification and their renewables are growing exponentially at an insane rate.

They’re still addicted to coal but with the developments in solar and wind and a very large geography and energy storage programs they’re going to be phased out and really fast in the coming years.

Given the fact that they’re pretty much producing everything for western economies and is recently industrialised China is actually doing fine. They emit a lot less per person than the average European while producing goods for 2x their population.

It might sound weird but China is one of the countries that’s actually taking climate change seriously.

  • Third parties in the presidential campaign only allow people to vote in a non tactical way. If they actually want to do anything they should start on square one which is to get a single candidate into congress.

The strategy for presidential campaigns should always be to run, get the message across, watch polling, withdraw, endorse until they are big enough. When big enough then open up coalition talks and affect policy by promoting voter reform and couple of key policies.

Doing just the presidency is good for publicity but incredibly inadequate.
