If I need systemd for a specific use, like testing systemd services, that’s essential, not bloat.
For all the cases where musk might have advantages.
I like that musl helps build smaller containers. And sometimes I need systemd in a container.
As a former Ubuntu user, I’m more likely to try Fedora Silverblue at this point.
I like Podman so swapping it out for LXD isn’t compelling.
Which principle of open source software is being violated?
Right now most browsers are based on an engine owned by Google with a small percentage based on Firefox, which has historically depended on Google for significant funding. Not a great situation.
For something as important to modern life, its beneficial to have more diversity, if only to add different security flaws to it then exist in Chrome and Firefox.
I also switched to a trackball, The Kensington Expert.
I have also heard good things about the L-Trac.

Right. I’m glad there are options. Despite their flaws, web UIs for email are massively popular.
Despite all the other answers, I suspect Web Browser is the most popular. As web apps for email got better, development of desktop clients stalled.
Fast search through a lot mail takes some considerable resources to build, store and search an index, and web-based systems do that really well.
I’ve used about all of them over the years: Pine, Mutt, Thunderbird, Evolution, K-Mail and some others.
I eventually threw in the towel and use web UIs now. Fast, available everywhere and good keyboard support, especially when paired with a browser extension like Vimium.
I need more photos of the ebike to help identify it.
Google: trust us, we can’t see your VPN traffic. Most users: No.
After starting with an Ergodox, I’ve been using a 42-key Corne keyboard for the last few years.
I love it. My current board is the Boardsource Unicorne.
I’m experimenting the cocot46plus as a “unibody Corne with trackball” for cases when an all-in-one keyboard and pointing device might be more useful, but plan to keep using a Corne a daily driver.
I pair it with MT3 keycaps and Cherry MX2A Browns.
After some practice, my typing speed increased to about 85 wpm on the board vs 65 wpm on my more traditional Happy Keyboard Lite 2 60% keyboard.
I use the markstos layout
Good luck with aptmak!
How are your typing speeds on this?
ChromiumOS is Linux.
Former professional email host here. Email is like 90% spam.
If want to spend your free time battling the ever evolving landscape of spam, enjoy.
Otherwise, work with a pro mail provider you trust.
As someone who has had a career in hosting: good luck.
Don’t forget backups, logging, monitoring, alerting on top of security updates, hardware failure, power outages, OS updates, app updates, and tech being deprecated and obsolete at a rapid pace.
I’m in favor of a decentralized net with more self-hosting, but that requires more education and skill. You can’t automate away all the unpleasant and technical bits.
If the average employee takes 4 sick days and you don’t sick seems like you should get a “well” day.
