This actually seems way easier for non-Mandarin speakers to figure out, their old captchas used to be similar to the hCaptcha ones where it shows some animals and some random object like a lamp then asks you something like click all the living objects. You could figure it out if you used some translator app, but this is fairly straight forward (I think at least) in what they want you to do even without a translator. I like it.

I doubt it’s Starlink either, I’d assume any connection from Starlink would show up as where the PoP (ground station) you’re connected to is located. There’s also things like CGNAT that come in to play and since a lot of the geolocation services use harvested data from data brokers to get a general location of an IP address based on historical traffic from that IP address, it’s probably safe to assume that it is very inaccurate for people using Starlink since so many customers are sharing the same IP address.

Not like Cuba has many natural resources they have an abundance of they could offer up besides sugar really. I also had to drop bcachefs recently, which was really upsetting because it is a very cool filesystem. Unfortunately it now has the same issue as ZFS, it’s out of tree, it being in the mainline kernel was one of the biggest selling points for it since it clearly took inspiration from ZFS in a lot of areas and having a filesystem like that in the mainline was super cool. Yea, this is pretty accurate. Younger people struggling to find jobs and due to cultural reasons they want to hide the fact that they’re unemployed from their family or whomever. @xiaohongshu@hexbear.net and others have been saying the job market in China, especially for young people, is not doing the greatest right now.
