Semi pro chiming in here: the infographic took an idea and ran the wrong way with it. Women are more sensitive to color, but it has to do with the context. They pick up more subtle colors without direct comparison. Its not that men can’t see the difference between lavender and piriwinkle when they’re next to each other, they’re just more likely to think their the same color if viewed sepparately.

It’s also worth noting that around age 35, both sexes lenses have yellowed enough that there’s no notable difference.

I say since the eighties because thats when the pseudo minimalist home design and plastic siding started, and all furniture became laminated particle board, and fucking everything starting turning beige and grey for “resale value”. Everything became so commercial it had no substance, and we quit making things that would become antiques because they became garbage.

Make everything utilitarian, but make it so poorly it fails at it’s own utility.

The most impactful examples to me are architecture and furniture. Art deco and nuveau buildings were beautiful, even minute details were meant to be looked at. The same goes for craftsman and machine age furniture. Everything has become so minimalist and utilitarian since the eighties.

I’m mostly face blind. I work in optical, so I remember people by their glasses and how they move/walk. I have to have seen someone numerous times before I.can memorize their face enough to identify them, and even then if they look like a celebrity even a little bit my memory will corrupt and I’ll just see the celebrity in my head and forget what they look like.

From an american standpoint, biden is significantly better, because of the social programs and liberal motivators he puts in place. As far as directly effecting american lives, biden helps and trump hurts.

From a global capitalist perspective, they’re both the same, with biden being slightly worse because those same social benefits pacify the left into apathy towards stopping global war, genocide, destabilization of exploited countries, and the rise of global surveillance.

Since we are forced to choose, biden seems better for america, but how does any real change happen if we’re all given our treats to stay obedient.

My industry is full of pseudoscience and liars. I can’t fault them for not knowing, and probably came off as more harsh than i intended.

I correct patients all day, and got pretty burned in the long long ago on reddit by people who “know better” patting themselves on the back and getting my factual information downvoted to oblivion.

Focusing close regularly doesn’t make you short sighted, not getting enough tourquoise light on your retina from staying inside makes your eye keep getting longer instead of stopping when the focal point is correct. Well, that and genetics.

And losing the ability to see near as you age has nothong to do with pressure. Your lens is constantly adding new layers to itself to stay clear, and after 40 it’s become so thick the muscles that pull it to accommodate near vision can’t stretch it enough. By 58 it doesn’t stretch at all any more. That’s why everyone eventually needs bifocals/progressives.
