0·21 days agoThis mindset is the entire problem. “Oh we don’t need to worry about ethics or morals, just efficiency” is exactly the issue with every pro-AI argument and every pro-capatalism argument. Its the issue with our governments, with investing, with corporations.
I say fuck anyone who argues ethics is not important when talking about efficacy. Fuck that mindset and fuck AI.

If this was the solution to running out of printer ink, I applaud it even harder.
I had an ex at one time who would get mad that I didn’t check out other women.
Like, she would assume I was doing it, but then when she realized I wasn’t it would turn into a fight about how I’m not and every guy does.
When I’m in a relationship I really don’t have eyes for anyone else. The need to find someone just kinda turns off.
She would also get mad and start a fight whenever I said she looked good without makeup, because I was a liar.
After that relationship, self confidence became a huge checkbox I reviewed before entering any possible relationship.
1·2 months agoAh ok, so its not RCS support but rather working around the OS not suporting RCS. Did some reading yesterday and now understand that RCS needs some low level system support to work.
It does work with both iPhone and Android users from my testing. I ended up putting it on when I got tired of getting “person reacted <emoji> to <full quote of what I wrote>”.
Odd it isn’t explicitly called out.
Is there a reason we can’t just all use Quik across the de-googled OSes? Vendor specific solutions only further the closed ecosystem problem.
Quik, an open source SMS app on FDroid, handles this already without needing a specific OSes RCS.
Unless there is something fundamental thats wrong with Quik and its development, I dont see why one would be excited about another vendor specific solution. Quik works on any degoogled android, not just Graphene.
