Afaik default behaviour on Android is that it backs up to GDrive by default.
Just buy 10 of these, install Linux and K3s on them, deploy Ollama, some UI frontend, merge the GPUs with https://github.com/gpustack/gpustack and you’ve got yourself a pretty good AI setup that is local and that also has (outside of electricity bills) close to zero maintenance cost.
2·1 month agoThe UI is proprietary and it’s too complicated to use IMO. I just use Trivalent for non-critical work like doing practice tests for driver’s license and Brave in Kicksecure VMs for Google, Claude Desktop (yes, it works on Linux), my school site and I also have my Gentoo-based development VM there.

Don’t. SEPA is the go-to here. And Curve exists if you don’t like the Apple or Google/you’re on GrapheneOS.
Some terminals even let you pay by square here.

1·6 months agoJust use OuterTune on mobile and YT Music with uBlock Origin on the web. And if you want to have it locally, then use yt-dlp.
Just switch to Pixel. I’ve got mine (9a) for around 500€.
The carrier has to support it which is a red flag for me since they have to archive metadata and the contents.
This’ll be a hot take but anything based on Signal’s protocol (including WhatsApp) is better than RCS in all ways.
Isn’t Google Files the same thing as AOSP Files?
