Out with the tooth fair money, in with the research grants!
At 9yo I would just leave it at being proud of them and their methods. I’d reward it. If they are questioning it on their own they are ready for that magic to be gone.

8·5 months agoIt just blows my mind that things got to the point where we have to seek a privacy focused not-internet-connected keyboard when that should have been the default all along.

2·1 year agoThank you for the link! I’ll give the gold outlines a try. I had tried gold with a blue variation of the dress but didn’t think of putting it on pink!

3·1 year agoI plant small amounts of each one so it’s manageable! It’s a lot of work a couple of times a year when you’re getting it all set up and then harvesting and cleaning it out, but most of the time plants are just out there growing their best life.

5·1 year agoA fresh look always feels great! I’ve seen those kick ass women posts too, absolutely great stuff. I hope you’re able to cram in all the reading you can, or somehow save a copy of what you can’t before you lose access to those journals! That is a really great resource to have available.

6·1 year agoSo far everything in the garden that I’ve planted this year is doing well! I’ve got tomatoes, strawberries, some raspberry canes, and green onions and chives growing happily. :)

6·1 year agoI love this one! It’s short, snappy, and cuts to the simple matter that despite all of the complexities surrounding feminism this is essentially what it’s about.

WomensStuff@lazysoci.al•What do you associate with Easter? Any meaning?English
2·1 year agoUsually turkey or a ham with a spread of roasted or steamed veggies. My brother likes to make deviled eggs, so he brings those over. It’s simple, but I love the ritual of it! For the fall and winter family meals I also like to make a cauliflower casserole which is layers of cauliflower, sour cream, and Hungarian sausage. That feels too rich for a spring meal though.

5·1 year agoFor me it was always just chocolate and the family meal. And now it’s that, plus a way to mark the seasons I suppose.

WomensStuff@lazysoci.al•Womens weekend positivity... what's a really happy memory?English
2·1 year agoI’m trans and shortly after I came out to my Mom I asked her what baby girl names she had picked out for me when she was expecting. During her pregnancy her doctors had told her she was going to have a girl, and turns out they were right! So I wanted to choose a name for myself from the options she had come up with at the time. So I got to pick a name that I loved, and she still got to name her daughter. It’s one of my happiest memories!
