  • Uhh. I haven’t visted a doctor for a check up since I was 18. Which was 14 years ago. I have only used healthcare when I crushed my hand at work. In which my company paid for. I have never gone to a walk in, I have never gotten a prescription despite getting bronchitis and pneumonia every year. Haven’t gotten to the doctor for the 3 times I had food poison or the flu. It is costly, it takes time, I work night and sleep during day, and I still pay health insurance(50$ a week and 50$ a month for dental) in which I have to pay to visit doctors and pay until I hit a deductible

  • Your comments are very concerning and aggressive to strangers on the internet. Then you overshare and very defensive.

Not sure if you are working on it but the internet may not be for you if you have to trauma dump on everyone.

You sound super passive aggressive about a kid not wanting an ancient console with terrible games. Then you expect them to be happy with a gift he didn’t want.

The stuff about your mom and being in the military makes it seem like you need to go to a therapist even more. Especially if your son’s dad messed with you and you are going through a harassment campaign online which would be weird if they found you on lemmy

Your problems shouldn’t be dumped on your son. This is coming from a son of a single mom who constantly trauma dumped on by his mother.

  • Boredom is good for someone. The brain hates it so it forces itself to be creative or do something. You have more energy if so much of it wasn’t dedicated to trying to work and suckle off of capitalism teat so you can survive. That is the thing when so much energy is focused on work you miss community/hobby work that is a healthier thing to build for one’s self for one’s overall happiness. If it costs less to live the more you can spend on hobbies which allows more hobbies to be livable jobs in your community

  • At the end of the day I think the answer is less availability and more local production is the way to go. Heavy sustainable packaging uses to much fuel. So it is better if we can grow and produce locally so we can theny recycle locally back to the packers and producers.

We can grow anything indoors now. We can bottle anything locally. The larger issue is electronics. Which can use sustainable materials.

I wish we could tax corporations for trash produced. Have the dump sort trash by company and offer them to recycle and charge them to recycle or trash the items.
