I didn’t know there was an Age of Mythology remaster.

I was watching the video and thinking “that’s a really good community HD patch!” :)

The proc gen maps in Diablo 1 worked pretty well IMO.

I honestly don’t mind too much and I am happy to keep contributing in my area of interests (strategy hybrids, city-builder strategy, 4X, turn-based strategy hybrid games).

That being said I think we have two key components that are arguably distinct.

1. Moving off LW - In principle, now would be a good time to do this as the communities are relatively low activity and depend on a few posters. However, I also think these moves are detrimental to focusing on growth.

2. Consolidation - Moving to a single community (e.g. !strategygames@sopuli.xyz ?). In principle, this would be a very good initiative to consolidate activity. But as Zagorath mentioned it has its own set of drawbacks. But MAUs are low enough that it might be worth considering.

I think publishers in this context means “a group who published X” as opposed to multiple publishinv groups.

I did find the headline construction a bit awkward though.

I really like the pixel art take on dreary communist stagnation.

If everyone is fine with icon, I will try find someone to make some minor adjustments to align the icon component styles a bit more.

I Have No Mouth is both a great short story and an excellent adventure game implementation (the author was closely involved and you can feel it).

There are also two adventure Dune games. One from the early 90s (before any of the RTS games were released) and another one from the early 2000s.

I agree. I love the style. But that being said, I have some younger family members (in their 20s) who are into gaming and they think this is some old school stuff that’s unappealing (they like modern RPGs).

I really got to try Daggerfall, some of the mods radically improve the coherence and depth of the open world.

This is an excellent point. An organisation the size of Sony is simply incapable of not attempting a live service hit as long as they have the resources to do so.

A smaller player can pursue a strategy where they gain profits from their (somewhat specialized) segement of the market. Sony lacks that flexibility due to their size.

This is pretty funny.

Love for Sail is probably the pinnacle of the older LS releases.

Definitely worth checking out if the Leisure Suite Larry series seems appealing.

I never backed (I only back single player games on Kickstarter). Just wanted to share with others the saga of this 12 years in-development indie crowdfunded MMO.

Replacing LW with another option works too.

I strongly believe any discussion around federation/centralization should be avoided when bringing in new users. They will figure it out themselves and if they feel like it make adjustments accordingly.

LW is fine. This a community dedicated to a niche video-game genre. The community already existed, just had very few posts.
