On the eve of international climate talks, U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres visited globally-important Antarctica, where ice that’s been frozen for millions of years is melting due to human-caused climate change, sending the message that “we absolutely need to act immediately.”
I think the point is to draw global attention to the severity and urgency of climate change. It’s such a crisis that the head of the UN is trying to draw attention to it which, I think, is much better for climate change than no attention at all…
