Can’t be bi because then you’re just a cheater, can’t be straight and experiment a bit in your youth because then you’re just in denial, can’t have a trans ex because then you’re forever tainted with the gay…

Everyone is always so surprised whenever LGBT survey results show up and the number of bi guys is way lower than that of bi women, because whenever men’s sexuality drifts away just a tiny bit from cis-heteronormativity, they get punished relentlessly for it. Really makes me sad

As a promiscuous bisexual who’s been in a committed monogamous relationship for 15 years, I can say i’m not surprised by this news

People got really weird with me when I told them I was bi

It probably helps that my current partner is also bi

Yeah, this fact fucked me up for years mentally and stopped me from allowing myself to come to terms with my own sexuality for almost a decade. Funny enough, I’ve also been in a committed monogamous relationship with my partner for about the same amount of time (you’ve got me beat by a year lmao) and she’s also bi, but came to terms later in our relationship too

Before I was way more visibly queer people were always super weird and uncomfortable about it if I told them, but now that people just peg me as not straight right away there’s actually a not insignificant subset of cis-women (probably bi too tbh but I don’t want to make assumptions) who are super into it. It’s been a great lithmus test to find people who are cool.

I’m tired as fuck today so I hope I didn’t word that too poorly.

        You’re good

It is funny because I have the exact same thing happen

I dress in one of two ways, flamboyantly when i’m going out to do fun things and like a lumberjack when i’m just doing work or have to do something uncomfortable

When I run into my friends out in the wild, they usually are like “Wait, Flakes, you wear Carhartt and Timberlands?” and I’m like, “I can’t peacock all the time! I’m not risking my Hello Kitty dress shirt and shoes at the Home Depot!”

Hell yeah. Peacocking takes a crazy amount of effort sometimes. You can’t be doing that allll the time.

I fucking love the Hello Kitty aesthetic and I fully support that decision. The shirt is sacred. It doesn’t fit my vibe personally so I don’t own anything, but I always appreciate it on other people! It’s so cute! I actually bonded with a woman at the dispensary recently because I complimented her multiple Hello Kitty tattoos.

I usually dress like a boring masc dad, but I have well maintained hair down to my lower mid back and painted nails as a baseline which for the area I live in, and with my body type, is…enough lmao. It’s almost the season I can wear all my cute femme sweaters though!

People need to chill the fuck out about sexuality. People shouldn’t give half a fuck who you’re attracted to. Fuck, I’ll date damn near about anyone so long as we vibe.

Majority of women are okay with elements of the patriarchy, whether they know it or not. Just like how most are okay with living under capitalism and do their part to defend it. Breaking out from the dominate power structures isn’t easy and for most it’s so routine to their lives that they’d rather stay with it than leave it.

Most straight men are open to bi women because they think they’ll get an FFM threesome out of it.

Meanwhile my buddy wants that with his wife but I’m like bud I’m not an F but if you’re nice enough to me I’ll join in ;)
