Really good points and I completely agree, loneliness in women is totally ignored when women are not any less lonely. Maybe it is because men are simply so violent in how they act out but I honestly don’t know, I’m just spitballing. It’s hard to really pin down with patriarchal focus and I’m honestly out of my depth to analyze it much further.
I definitely think that’s a large part of it. When men are lonely, they go on killing sprees. Not to mention the discourse of patriarchical news sources.
In my country, women go on a 6-24 month waitlist for therapy if we can’t pay out of pocket, but that will change next year, when our wonderful government will make psychotherapy even less accessible.
