I haven’t been very active here this past week as I’ve been having really bad migraine flare-ups, and my prescription meds haven’t been dealing with them very well. Don’t even know what’s causing it. But I wanted to come online and say thanks for the recent help with the stuff for my foot surgery, which seems to be healing up pretty well so far, and I also had enough left over to get a new pair of glasses, which I received yesterday so I can actually see now.

The NHS only gives each patient a very small amount towards optical every 2 years, and I had already used up my allowance but needed a new prescription. In this case you either have to pay for it yourself or just be basically blind until the two years is up. Seeing as how I lost a large amount of my vision due to a stroke, the fact that I need what remains corrected makes it extra difficult to do things if I can’t get glasses that are the right prescription. But I have them now and I can see as well as I’m ever going to, and it’s all thanks to the people who donate to mutual aid, so thank you!
