Anyways, I knew a bunch of infantry dudes who’s units would run exercises where they’d dress up their opfor in clothes deployed soldiers brought back from overseas, so you’d have a bunch of dipshit boots dressed like Afghanis and Iraqis playing villager-but-secretly-a-terrorist roles to play grab ass with each other and fuck with the blufor guys who have to play the pretend mission, to find the bomb maker or secret stash of weapons, or whatever, completely straight or get their asses chewed by their crusty leadership.
The big games tend to be more “serious” but those are rare events. Soldiers usually just badly larp every once in a while for their combat training.
