Why are some people so afraid of beans? Why are 4,700 people agreeing that just eating rice is a good tip? Thousands of years of civilization and we have circled all the way back to poor people surviving on meager rice rations.

rice and beans together combine a full protein. you can live off of that, permanently. it wont be very fun after a while but technically speaking.
eat more beans
Rice and beans is the international dish for the world
Wtf I didn’t know that was a full protein. That’s fire. I have been eating the three sisters to get a full protein and though I have no intention to stop doing this it is nice to worry less considering the amount of beans and rice I eat.
legumes + grains in general, in fact. a peanut butter sandwich is a complete protein
you also don’t need to eat them together, like as long as your weekly diet is varied you’ll be absolutely fine
From what I’ve read on the issue as long as you’re eating a varied diet you don’t really need to twist yourself into knots about proteins being full/complete. Everything with protein has varying amounts of all the essential amino acids, some just have more than others.
I only worry about it because I am trying to build muscle. Most people definitely don’t have to
imo getting enough protein from plants kind of requires eating a varied diet anyway
If you tried to get it all from beans alone you’d get sick of beans.
You underestimate my love for beans and autistic eating habits

Rice and beans are full proteins but you still should eat other things to get micronutrients and fiber. There’s where squash and fruits and veggies come in I believe.
A huge part of South America already does lol
