Why are some people so afraid of beans? Why are 4,700 people agreeing that just eating rice is a good tip? Thousands of years of civilization and we have circled all the way back to poor people surviving on meager rice rations.

It really has to be some psyop by food companies to get people to avoid fiber. They are trying to induce diabetes to as a way to increase sales of junk food and statin drugs.
I think fiber is going to be the next health food craze, but not in a good way like eating foods that already have fiber. They’re going to start adding waste product fiber to junk foods to raise the price like they do with whey protein.
Whey protein used to be either thrown away or used in pet food/animal feed and now they can use it to make a tiny packet of $3 protein chips or a $5 brownie.
They’re already kind of doing this- not adding waste product fiber (they use inulin which, afaik, is directly sourced for this purpose rather than being a byproduct of other processes), but check out “prebiotic soda” if you haven’t heard of them. Poppi and Olipop are probably the most popular examples
