this article, predictably, is approving of ai and downplays concern about unemployment. as i suspected it complains about ai in the hands of the people (“flooding” complaints to government departments) and basically recommends gutting the existing state machinery (which they’re always looking to do) designed to handle public relations and replacing it with their own ai models.
The most important task is to act faster and more radically on remaking the state with AI. That means not just speeding up the old cycle of applications, decisions and appeals, but replacing it altogether. The recast state would be flood-proof; it would also be more efficient and more responsive to citizen-[blah blah blah]
