Apparently it’s in southwest Florida.
I knew it was in Florida as soon as I saw the picture. Every road in Florida has a swamp canal running parallel to it for some reason.
Drainage, it was built in a swamp so they need to dig out canals so the road doesn’t just sink into the mud.
Some sections of highway or rail, or rail later converted to highway were shallow lakes where they’d run a dredger through to create enough raised land for a road, directly through the lake.
Also Tennesee, stealing the “valor” of a section of a Vienam Memorial highway.
