see, my homo superior allies? this is how they treat us when they think they can get away with it, by attacking our weakest. they think us beneath their notice! we shall show them something worth notice…

              Yeah, Beak

              Can’t fly, can’t do much

Most famous for having a clutch of kids with Pixie

And I do mean clutch, his avian physiology and her insectoid physiology resulted in something most people look at and go visible-disgust

I got lots of good points for comic book stuff

And that’s why Marvel won’t let me write for them

That and my innate desire to elevate D-tier characters like Stingray and Bantam to the forefront

during the cold war i presume you’d have cooperation on making sure governments being overthrown were for economic reasons rather than mutant reasons. there were also fewer of them for a long time

yeah i think it works okay if it’s like one mutant per million people. then the mutants not in new york can just have useless mutations like furry blue skin. if one in 10 people can control the earth’s rotation, things don’t stay normal very long

capeshit really struggles with this, both a bias towards people in the first-world getting super powers, and a bias towards people in the present. If this was always something that could happen, The history textbooks would have fewer william the conquerors and more peasants with laser vision usurping thrones.

This is why i always preferred the earlier X-Men comics explanation that the mutant X-gene was a result of nuclear weapons testing putting atomic material into the atmosphere

And that’s why one of their earliest monikers was The Children of the Atom

The horrors of Soviet X-Men would be that they would make the coolest place, by using their powers collectively with the people. They would also have essentially Sentinel-like technology that’s used to prevent disasters and such.

if made by americans, the soviet x-men would work together to build a better future and then turn to the camera and say “and now we can do what we really wanted all along. eat babies. mmm babies. mmmmm lemme kick this dog, it’s in my way and i want to eat more babies. yaay communism!”
