Isn’t tonight the premiere?
It would seem so, as it just showed up in my torrent rss.
Does the show still hold up? Haven’t seen the last few seasons. Didn’t get bored with it, just don’t have cable or pay for streaming so I have to “go out of my way” to watch it and just haven’t done so yet.
Well, the formula is clearly visible, but I’d say the formula still works. They didn’t jump the shark yet.
It feels like they ran out of ideas a bit. There are still some great episodes here and there, but the last 5ish seasons have only been okay. The characters have really started to feel one dimensional and formulaic compared to the earlier seasons.
Not as good as the early seasons, but there was an episode (s17e03 Mac and Dennis become EMTs) in the last season that was just as good as the early ones. You should definitely watch it.
Post season 13 has been pretty meh

still have never seen this show or the us shameless. EDITED. I thought I would add an edit because I sorta see how people are taking it as opposed to how I meant it. I realize now that this being a community about the show people view it as some slight to it. Really though im just perusing all and I made the comment because I have heard it good for a long time. Which is why I mention shameless to. Its sorta happenstance that I happened to see an episode of the uk original (I think its uk). I think the main reason I have not seen it is I just don’t really look to watch commedies and in this on demand age if you don’t go out with the intention of seeing something you don’t see it. Its not like it was the best of what was on atm like with broadcast tv. I often thing about my general interaction with the fediverse. where I want it to be. is like hanging out in the basement with some friends. I realize though this is like dropping into a fan club meeting and making the comment. Anyway I thought it was a good example of how tough internet interaction could be and I wanted to stop pissing off more people who may come by and see the comment.
