Anyway wouldn’t be surprised if we are a couple years out from advertisements on the moon.
I broadly agree that commercialization of space is bad. But so many spent rocket stages, decommissioned orbiters, and failed landers have crashed already. The moon is a truly dead world, I’m not going to get teary-eyed because some derelict upper stage carved out a small crater. There’s no inhabitants or ecosystem to harm. Heck, we’ve done it deliberately as a way to examine what’s under the surface. Each impact is an opportunity for astronomers to do spectroscopy and advance our knowledge of subsurface chemistry.
