    Poor water quality at concentration camp? Hopefully that’s the worst thing they have to deal with (note: strongly condemn ICE)

    Given the erosion of municipal infrastructure due to corruption at every level of government, this probably isn’t the ironclad defense he thinks it is

    Those are mosquito larvae. Saw them all the time growing up in Florida.

    I don’t think humans can get heart worms, but this is why you give dogs heartworm pills. They drink water like this when dogging around in the warm south and get the parasite.

      Humans can get heart worm but we are poor hosts and the parasite doesn’t usually live very long. Also, it is a blood borne parasite spread by mosquitoes

      Mosquitos lay eggs in stagnant water, eggs to larvae can happen overnight.

      But it still requires stagnant water, I’d be more worried about the bacterial load than the wrigglers.
