I have found that people dont like needing to think and if you do it for them and arent catastrophically wrong they’re generally just happy you didn’t bother them. Same with if people have questions, usually they’re just looking for an answer, not necessarily an accurate one. Just confidently say something and they’ll stop bothering you. This mostly applies at work

I try to make it known i will intentionally fuck with you if you’re complacent and not using your bullshit detector. There was someone at work a few years back that I said it was another co-worker’s birthday 3 times (same co-worker) in the same year, not including his real birthday and gave a different age each time with like a 25 year range. I also just think it’s fun to mess with people here and there, its also good to practice lying in a harmless environment so you can really sell a line of bullshit when it matters. I wanna be double checked and not just blindly believed, if you believe someone who is clearlt around 40 is celebrating his 26th birthday, youre just not paying attention
This does apply metaphorically. If you have a chance to act unilaterally make the advantageous choice and then consult your boss.
