When these taggers are recognisable across a wide metropolitan area, they aren’t creating local community art.
When they tag a community asset, or someone’s fence (the distinction of personal property) that they didn’t want and have to rectify, what are they providing beyond self gratification?
If I came and tagged your house and your stuff, are you going to say nothing because my artistic desires amongst myself and a handful of people are more important than your personal feelings?
Now try and justify the following tag on the local not for profit community health centre.
Can I flip this around and ask why you care, or why anyone else should? It’s paint on a wall. It doesn’t hinder the operation of the health center. I have a really hard time understanding why anyone would be upset about it.
It’s community art that is representative of elements of the surrounding community. Why does an absolute tiny minority who may not even live in that community get to ruin their artwork?
What’s ruined? The ugly dirty white wall beneath the painting? The 2 and a half square inches of the very bottom of the painting that the tag barely overlaps?
Why is the tag ruining the painting and not the painting ruining the tag? They’re two things both existing separately on different parts of a wall.
I would consider it less as being aimed at you and more as a response to the thread you created. Like a parent you must let it free out in the world to blossom!

I think the outside of a house is public. Sure don’t do anything that makes it less inhabitable but beyond that
