In college, there were a lot of discussions in classes about the “trauma” inflicted on the bourgeoisie by these policies in revolutionary China, but - as the saying goes with Stalin and Lenin - you really do start to appreciate why they just sent everybody to work the fields.

I too find it traumatic to have to sell my labor and the better part of my waking hours to sustain myself.
