They could also have some Nuremberg style tribunal for Israel, that would also be appropriate,.more so if you ask me, Israel has done far worse things than Russia

War crimes are not a competition. The actions of both Israel and Russia are crimes against humanity and should be treated and prosecuted as such.

That arrest warrant is worth less than toilet paper. Many countries have just ignored it and invited him anyway

That’s not the fault of the ICC but of the countries that by doing so undermine and refuse to recognize the ICC.

It’s not. It severely limits the number of countries Netanyahu can travel to without being arrested at the border. Sure, several countries have explicitly stated that they won’t honour the warrant, and that severely hurts those countries diplomatic capital. At the same time, Netanyahu (and others) are among very few political leaders that have the risk of arrest hanging over them if they travel to most countries.

Well, the ICC and ICJ are more than capable of handling most war crimes, including the ones committed by Israel. This tribunal would exist to fill a hole in the jurisdictions of the international courts: To prosecute the crime of aggression. Russia attacked first. It’s incredibly clear cut. Israel and Gaza is more complicated. Here we got a circle of escalating violence. That makes it a lot harder to prosecute them for this specific crime.

The violence has been one sided for a long time now, and also the numerous cases of Israel targeting civilians and inhumane treatment of prisoners. All well documented, nothing complicated
