Radical centrism is a real thing because centrism is not about being on the center of the spectrum, it’s about the will to protect institutions. That attitude can be pushed to the extreme and lead to things like brutal repression of revolutionaries, without using especially nationalistic and reactionary rhetoric, only justifying everything by “not falling into totalitarianism”
