Mine is the local beach. It’s my absolute favorite place to be. It’s where I want my ashes scattered. I spend my life in a service industry of sorts, constantly doing what others tell me, going where others tell me, dealing directly w customers. It’s nice to leave my phone and keys in the truck and go wander alone. No need to talk to anyone, or have anyone talk to me. It’s outside of cell range so nobody can contact me even in an emergency, work or personal.
Literally anywhere outside of civilization in Alaska. I just pick a direction and just go. I always discover something memorable and it fills me with deep satisfaction because whenever I do an adventure it’s usually when I’m playing hookie from work.
