It’s hilarious, but also my overthinking brain can’t help but notice just how well this garbage captures this moment of our time. It’s the perfect example of how right-wing propaganda works.

Yeah, I’m thinking way too hard in this silly trash, but hear me out. The wording captures how so many people, not just angry white cishet men, feel under capitalism.

All of the grievances listed perfectly describes the human experience under capitalism and how it harms and represses our collective psyche. Nothing is sacred, everything is consumed and thrown away for the next empty treat. No one feels secure anymore because we have no say in our lives in any way that matters. Our culture is atomized per marketing demographic, designed to be quickly consumed and is only relevant for how long it can be milked for profit before being thrown away. People are also treated this way. Fired for reasons out of your control. Replaced by AI. Kicked out of your home because the landlord felt like it. Which is a sentiment this AI propaganda slop nails on the head with all the talk of love only earned through performance, of it being conditional and of the over all pervasive feeling of not being enough. Because the fickle nature of the market means the definition of enough can change any second, you are never secure.

All of it is a perfect example of how these types of organizations (in this case a reactionary faction of a religion, but you could swap this with any right-wing pipeline gifter) and capitalism work together to correctly name symptoms of a problem and divert it into movements that benefit the very thing that causes these symptoms, or at least lead people off the trail of the true cause. Because as clownish complaining about the wokes ruining gaming is, the destruction of our stories, art and culture is a concern I think leftists should take more seriously. I think the efforts of leftist pirates, archivists and open source developers shouldn’t be taken for granted as a powerful tool for both preserving our culture and for reminding people that the left knows what the actual problem is, and has a real solution.

Anyway I just think it’s as interesting as it is ridiculous.
