Sometimes we just do it for the cheap labor - like with our occupation of Haiti and our continuous presence in South Korea and the Philippines
We’ve gone to war for much less. Case in point: the vast majority of our history.
The history of the War of 1812 it’s particularly crazy. Although the Spanish-American War isn’t much better.
