Exactly. He doesn’t need to ruin movies. We know that movies are for entertainment, it doesn’t need to be dissected as fact. And we certainly don’t need someone taking our escapism away from us. Let us have this, dude. We need this right now, including from the time he became prominent. He killed Pluto, which I guess is fine because it was accurate, but he didn’t need to shove himself into movies and try to ruin our very-much-needed escapism. It’s egotistical, and insulting, as if we don’t know that it’s a movie.

He is a know-it-all ass. He’s a self-important dickhead. But I appreciate his role in getting young black kids seeing a role model that they can relate to. That’s far more important than his ego.

I’ve said this for a few years as well. At least the sun is real. It provides life, it doesn’t even kill very many people, definitely doesn’t condemn anyone to an eternity of suffering.

One night in ft Gordon we were doing an FTX and we got out there late and set up the tents in the dark, n in a field of tall grass. No sooner than the tents were set up, an intense rainstorm came through and dumped a metric fuckton of rain in 15-20 minutes. And as quickly as it started, it was over. Afterwards there were so many fireflies it looked like a fantasy movie. I had never seen anything like that. I’ve been all over the world, hell I grew up in Boulder, on of the most beautiful places on earth, but I’ve never seen anything even close to that. It was absolutely magical. And my kid gets so excited to see 2 or 3 and it makes me want to cry.

Well, most anyway. Honestly I think 40 is pretty good, if it had to end here. I’m still young enough that I get annoyed when I encounter slow people. I’m old enough to be patient, or just calmly go around. I’m young enough to still be attractive to someone. I’m old enough not to care if they’re not interested. The only thing REALLY keeping me from wanting to roll the credits is wanting to watch my son’s version. Not that I’m suicidal at all. That’s not the way to take this, just that I don’t have a lot of regrets and let’s do this before existence becomes pain.
