Sorry, but I even is this is pedantic as heck I can’t sign on to the language of the title.

It never “apologized,” nor did it “think,” nor “suggest,” nor did it do any of the very human things we put on it.

It chose the next most probable token by probability weight. That’s what it did - nothing more and nothing less.

And yet most humans would rather kill than apologise for their wrongdoings.

This is why it’s all cleverbot and always has been. The clever part is making people think it’s intelligent.
