By default it’s mostly politics and linux unless you browse for individual subs

I made a list of casual communities on Lemmy awhile ago https://lemmy.world/post/2216085 just subscribe to stuff you like and curate your own feed. Block the politics subs. Boom.

I’ve been able to filter out certain words/phrases to help get rid of most of the political posts.

Under filters/blocks in the app I use (Boost) there’s a section for blocked words. This is the list I have, and find it does a pretty good job:

Don’t forget about the furry porn. There’s also furry porn.
For real, I haven’t seen much furry porn. In fact, I would say none… I don’t know how I did that.
