The progressive did everything good the democrats did not. Idk even know your definition of “progressives” but the suffraggettes were progressive, the civil rights movement was progressive, black lives matter was progressive. All the democrats did was coopt every single one of those movements and wash them down, and roll the red carpet for fascists like trump. Moderatism is what opens the road to fascism.
