I look forward to only criminals having access to encryption
Time to do steganography to talk to my friends I guess
Why? If they’ve not done anything wrong, they’ve got nothing to hide
I absolutely detest it when politicians are just this fuckin’ clueless. I rather hope the lot of them have their bank accounts tampered with.
That means they are.
And for that feat, UK will not rejoin the EU for another decade. This is a very undemocratic move the UK is doing here.
The EU is trying to do this at an EU level (and has been for years). As well as an individual country level, Sweden seems likely to pass a similar law in 2026.

I don’t have enough middle fingers. Can we just not do this crap?
Reducing UK security is probably not a good idea at the best of times, let alone these days with global tensions increasing.
Yeah, but how are they gonna catch the bad guys unless they can unlock your home and make sure you’re not one of them? /s
Time for pgp then.
From now on; whenever they can’t find incriminating messages elsewhere, they will come to you. You suspicious, secret, something to hide-guy.
Everyone deserves private communication.
Let them come.
