Ironically that’s not part of the Chinese curriculum.
Instead you get to have an hour-long “Little Red Scarf” ceremony so you can be a “Little Red Guard” or whatever. And also you have to recite an entire story from the textbook, word for word, because its a very important ancient text written in the BCE era by some dead philosopher or something, if you can’t memorize it by the end of the school day, you have to stay late.
(I don’t even care about the sinister political aspect of the stupid ceremony thing. I just hate standing in the school yard for an hour lol. I hate stupid school gatherings regardless of the reason. At least in US, we can sit in the auditorium indoors. Still hate the auditorium gathering stuff tho)
I always smuggled a book in to auditorium bullshit, even though the lights were usually dim and it was hard to read. Fuck that noise.
Nothing? /s

LOL, better run like a Hong Kong Journalist
I got tired of the app cause once you hit a certain difficulty you have to pay. Their teaching notes are far from complete so the only way to learn is to make mistakes and then your 5 chances are up. Totally demotivated me.
Yeah, it demotivated me too with the limited lives… If you still want Duolingo, I can mention that it has regional pricing, so you only need a VPN server in India to get it much much cheaper.
But it’s understandable if you don’t want to support those kinds of business practices in any way.
I switched to YouTube and innerfrench podcast. I like the format much better than language apps for now.
