State-owned news outlet Gazeta(dot)ru reported that the Ukrainian-linked hacker group “sudo rm -RF” was behind the attack.

I’m certain someone working there typed “sudo rm -RF” into the console, deleting everything, and they blame it on a “hacker group”.
I think it’s a funny AF name. If not for the little Bobby Tables of it all. Somewhere, some news aggregator accidentally purged everything.
This is why you should never allow your terminal to execute news headlines directly. You’re definitely going to want to sandbox your RSS autoexecutor.
