minus-squareHuschke@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up29arrow-down1·edit-220 days agoYou can see the date in the top part. This was in 2019 before covid and before all the prices went to crazy town.
minus-squareZoot@reddthat.comlinkfedilinkarrow-up8·20 days agoMan I wish I lived where you did in 2019. I was looking for a place from 2017 to 2020, and they were already fucked. Hell, Studio Apartments with like 500sqft were 2200 to 2400 a month already. Last I checked you can move 50 miles from civilization and pay 600/month, but that was also the case 7 years ago.
minus-squareBuglefingers@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up2·20 days agoIn 2019 I lived in a bigger city for my state (USA) and my rent for a 1Br was $1200mo (heat/hot water only). Though it was not “in” the city, but one street over from the main strip. It is massively more expensive now
minus-squaresunzu2@thebrainbin.orglinkfedilinkarrow-up1·20 days ago500sqft is now 2600 and the 50 miles is 1400 because all these peasants are super rich now and can afford it.
minus-squareContrarianTrail@lemm.eelinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up2arrow-down17·20 days agoRight? Who the hell would agree to a price like that. That would cover my mortage for 2 months.
Bullshit

Maybe $1100/month each… Maybe
Right? Who the hell would agree to a price like that. That would cover my mortage for 2 months.
