Are we supposed to believe the US hasn’t already been sharing intel with Israel, like, since 1948?
Ehhh, definitely not since the beginning in 48. Back then, they had to smuggle/steal all their armament, and the US tried to play neutral, hence forcing the British/French and Israelis to give the canal back to Nasser.
It’s also likely that we’ve only been sharing what we think they actually need, the US isn’t the puppet of Israel nor vice versa, their relationship is very, very much transactional.
Sharing all Intel? Yes.
“ok I guess we’ll finally speak to Israel and openly share intelligence even though we never have before”
Lol wat
This is actually new. We don’t just dump literally everything we know on Mossad, we tell them what we think they need to know and keep other certain things close to the chest if we need to.
There’s many reasons we could’ve been waiting on telling Israel everything we knew about Sinwar, for example, he’s the highest ranking Hamas official inside Gaza, and is the one who would accept/negotiate hostage deals or ceasefire’s.
We might’ve expected Israel to instantly try to kill this guy, which we probably wouldn’t have wanted if Hamas still has american hostages.
Or we expected Israel to immediately kill him, and we didn’t want to do that because the U.S. was still trying to get some sort of deal out of him.
Fair.
These guys have the weirdest CVs:
grey hair
grey beard and white moustache
light blue shirt
dark blue jacket
happy to indulge in war crimes
big grumpy eyebrows
I’ll now incorporate into my world view that anybody who shares these physical characteristics is a war criminal. I took a statistics class once and I’m pretty sure that’s how it works.
OMG, man, until you made me look closer I thought it was three photos of the same guy.
Can you confirm that?
