Non-stick pans are awesome, just like waterproof camping gear. What’s even more awesome is a company that SELLS chemicals like Chemours dumping chemicals they do not want into our drinking supply.

This doesn’t make sense to me. I can understand that they may not have been “formally” able to send something to the hill, but they could very easily back channel it with the professional staff members.

The political appointees have a lot of sway but it’s not absolute. Career employees have the relationships with the professional staff members (the people who actually do the work for Congress members)and could very easily bring it up.
