    So, on the one hand, websites like these are great for collecting and sharing information regarding which companies and people support Israel and how.

    But, as BDS points out, the long lists of companies to boycott that go viral often end up having the opposite effect, by making people feel like there’s no point in boycotting any company at all.

    If anyone begins to feel that way after looking at all these companies, then just remember to focus your effort on the list endorsed by BDS - not because the other companies are “okay”, but because that way we can collectively have the most impact.

      That’s why it’s BDS and not Just Individuals Boycotting. Without all three you won’t get anything done. We don’t even have divestment yet, the US alone is still pouring resources into the genocide, nonetheless actual sanctions. Your overpriced Mcfrappuccino isn’t going to do diddly shit compared to the billions of dollars being shoved directly into war criminal coffers. If you feel uncomfortable with even a penny going to this genocide than you should continue to boycott out of principle, just don’t pretend your personal choices are ever going to change anything on their own, because that’s the same false consciousness that disarmed climate action and look where it got us.
