A man shot through a window and broke into the Colorado Supreme Court building early Tuesday morning and caused “significant and extensive” damage in several areas of the building before surrendering to police, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
The man was involved in a crash about 1:15 a.m. near 13th Avenue and Lincoln Street a short time before he forced his way into the Ralph L. Carr Colorado Judicial Center, which houses the Colorado Supreme Court, the Colorado Court of Appeals and several other state agencies, according to a Colorado State Patrol news release.
This comes two weeks to the day after the state Supreme Court ruled Donald Trump cannot appear on the state’s primary ballot based on his actions surrounding the Jan. 6, 2021, U.S. Capitol breach and riot by his supporters.
Police were investigating threats made to the Supreme Court justices in the week after the ruling and increased patrols around their Denver homes following at least one “hoax report,” the Associated Press reported.
Can you really blame people for assuming the usual terrorists are responsible when an act of terrorism occurs?
Terrorism is political or ideological. Is there any proof that this is actually terrorism, and not just someone having a mental health or substance crisis, or someone that was just a total piece of shit that was trying to flee an accident / assault with a deadly weapon incident?
The authorities didn’t think it was connected to the threats directed to the court.
The police said they don’t think it was connected, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t politically motivated, it could be a separate person from other threats. Though after seeing the picture of him and reading about it you’re probably right. This article does have more info about the situation, apparently he drove to Colorado to see his kids, and he has drug problems.
everything is political.
terrorism is loaded language.
Right. Cause someone stealing a bag of chips from a gas station is political right?
yes. the fact that access to food is predicated on access to capital is an obvious effect of the privatization of food resources.

Everything is political.
I know what has been said. I just wonder if you’ve learned anything.
It’s been political from the start
Yes. It does absolutely no good jumping to immediate conclusions like that. Wait for the facts. It’s incredibly hypocritical to do that
