Trans Memes@lemmy.blahaj.zone•While searching for seagull pictures to use for matrix stickers, I stumbled upon this proud bird
1·6 months agoDid the bird image come with a trans flag included? If it did, that’s pretty funny lol.

12·6 months agoThe 2 wacom devices I own, one of those small, cheap, plastc tablets and a digitizer built into a laptop screen, both have worked flawlessly with Linux. I think they have kernel support, hence how they just work.

Transgender@lemmy.blahaj.zone•Poll: Most Americans oppose trans women competing in female sports, including 2 of 3 in Gen ZEnglish
2·7 months agoAbout 3 in 4 Gen Z men (72%) say transgender women should not be allowed to play female sports, compared with about half of young women (56%).
Considering one of the main reasons provided for a ban on trans women is that it will hurt women, it’s interesting how women support trans women in sports more than men.
I think the chances of this being reposted on 196 quite high lol. Heck, it might have even been posted while I wrote this comment.
Your phone screencast on the Windows PC adds some unexpected recursion lol.

Climate - truthful information about climate, related activism and politics.@slrpnk.net•Oxford Professor: Cycling is 10 times more important than electric cars for reaching net-zero cities3·7 months agoAt least where I live, the city centre was built and designed around walking and public transit, but then the city destroyed those streets to make way for cars. If the city were to reverse those changes and build back areas designed for walking and cycling, it would result in a much better city centre, without any drastic restructuring.

10·7 months agoIn 2006 they bundled Wii Sports with the Wii, which seemed to benefit them considering the Wii’s success. Though, the Switch 1 had a the demo “1, 2, Switch” for 60 USD and sold better than the Wii, though culturally, more people probably know about Wii Sports compared to 1, 2, Switch.

Even though personal vehicles create significant pollution, it would still be worth just for the health and quality of life benefits alone.
Out of all of these, motion blur is the worst, but second to that is Temporal Anti Aliasing. No, I don’t need my game to look blurry with every trailing edge leaving a smear.

4·8 months agoIIRC e-bikes are limited to 32 km/h in Canada, and are programmed to stop pedal assist beyond that speed.
The real solution is to not mix people walking with people biking on the few, narrow paths that Ottawa does have, the same way you don’t want to mix people biking with cars. I think a widening of the River Pathway would be enjoyed by basically everyone, for example.
Also, the roads that run parallel to some of these mixed use pathways would suck to bike on, even with a physically separated lane since these roads have drivers doing 70-90 km/h
